Things I Have Been Thankful for in the Past Month

I have been at school since the end of August, and it has been great. I have definitely had my share of problems since I have been here, but I know that I am meant to be here at this time, and that everything happens for a reason. Because I am so thankful for everything that has happened to me since I have been here, I wanted to list just three of the things I have noticed in my life that have made me grateful. One would definitely have to be the scenery around me. I think I live in one of the prettiest places on the planet. (I haven't been to many places, but seriously, Cedar City is beautiful.) I went on a nature walk last week up the canyon and it was so beautiful. Even just driving up there was amazing. We could have driven forever, and I would have been perfectly content. I am also very thankful for my family and friends. Even though I am moved out and am 500 miles away from my family, I am still so grateful for them. I talk to my mom every single day and I don't know how I would be functioning without talking to her. I also miss my nephews like crazy, and leaving them was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I am also very thankful for Skype so that I can talk to them, but we won't count that. I am so thankful for the friends that I have made here so far. I am having so much fun, and it is only because of them that I have a good time every day. We usually never have anything planned, but just hanging out with them makes me happy and comfortable. Lastly, I am so so so grateful for the church. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it makes me so happy. Ever since I have moved out I have only seen how much my testimony has grown. While I have had my share of trials while being down here, I have only seen the Savior's hand in my life increase. The gospel brings me so much comfort and happiness, and without it, I don't know where I would be. Overall, I definitely have a lot to be grateful for, and while I only listed three things, the list could seriously go on and on.
